1. Introduction
ZubiaTech built the Swap Calculator app as a free utility tool for forex and CFD traders. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
By using this app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any registration details
- Your device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
- Your location data
- Your IP address or browsing history
- Financial account details or brokerage credentials
- Any analytics or behavioral tracking data
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The app stores the following data exclusively on your device using local storage (Hive database). This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
- Calculation history — swap calculation results you have performed (instrument name, lot size, swap rates, pip value, calculated amounts, date/time)
- Symbol list cache — a temporary 15-minute cache of trading instrument names fetched from the market data API, stored locally to reduce repeated network calls
You have full control over this data. You can delete all saved history at any time from within the app via the History screen.
4. Third-Party API — Market Data
The app connects to a third-party market data service to fetch live trading instrument data:
- Service: Ataria Feed API (https://feed-api.ataria.pro)
- Purpose: To retrieve the list of available trading instruments (symbols) and their associated pip values and swap rates for use in calculations
Data sent to this API:
- A developer API token (a fixed credential — not linked to any user)
- The name of the selected trading instrument (e.g. “EURUSD”)
No user data is ever sent to this API. No personal information, device identifiers, or user-generated content is transmitted.
We recommend reviewing Ataria’s own privacy policy for information on how they handle API requests on their end.
5. Device Permissions
Android
- INTERNET — Required to fetch live instrument data from the market data API
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only) — Required to save swap result screenshots to your device gallery
iOS
- Photo Library Access (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription) — Required to save your trade result screenshots to your photo library
No other permissions are requested or used.
6. Screenshot Sharing
The app allows you to capture a screenshot of your swap calculation result and either:
- Save it to your device gallery — the image is stored locally on your device
- Share it via your device’s share sheet — you choose which app to share it to (e.g. WhatsApp, email, etc.)
This sharing is entirely user-initiated and handled through your device’s native OS sharing mechanism. We do not receive, store, or process any shared content.
7. No Analytics or Crash Reporting
The app does not use any analytics SDK, crash reporting service, or telemetry tool. Examples of services we do not use:
- Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics
- Crashlytics / Sentry
- Facebook SDK
- Any advertising network
No usage data, session data, or crash logs are collected or transmitted.
8. No In-App Purchases or Payments
The app does not offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, or any payment functionality. No financial or payment information is collected.
9. Children’s Privacy
Swap Calculator is designed for adult traders (18 years and older). It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used this app, please contact us — there is no data on our end to address, as the app collects no personal data from anyone.
10. Data Security
Since no personal data is collected or transmitted by us, there is no personal data at risk on our servers. All data generated by the app (calculation history) resides solely on your device and is protected by your device’s own security mechanisms.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
All locally stored data (calculation history) can be deleted at any time by the user directly within the app. Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data from your device.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
